E! reality show is latest fuss over the LA Rams

ST. LOUIS -- Forgive us if we sound like a spurned or jealous lover. It's just that we got spurned and now we're a bit jealous.
First, we lost our NFL team to Los Angeles when a greedy local billionaire convinced a bunch of greedy out-of-town billionaires that everyone would be better off if the Rams called La-La Land home. Everyone except St. Louisans, that is.
Then all kinds of exciting things started happening. The Rams traded for the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft. They agreed to be the featured attraction in this year's edition of "Hard Knocks" on HBO. And now six Rams will be on a TV reality show this fall.
The E! network announced Wednesday that "Hollywood and Football" will chronicle the lives of six Rams players -- wide receivers Kenny Britt and Bradley Marquez, offensive lineman Rodger Saffold, tight end Lance Kendricks, running back Chase Reynolds and fullback Cory Harkey -- and their families. Six one-hour episodes will focus on how these non-star players adjust to life in LA.
Blah, blah, blah. Reality television is a joke. "Hard Knocks" lost its edge years ago. And the Rams ... well, they're still a lousy Jeff Fisher-coached team that can aspire to mediocrity when the planets align. Otherwise, they routinely occupy the nether regions of a league that is designed to prevent sustained incompetence.
Be careful what you wish for, Tinseltown.
