Dolphins make Pouncey NFL's highest-paid center with extension
The Miami Dolphins have finalized a lucrative multi-year contract extension for starting center Mike Pouncey, according to multiple reports late Friday.
Pouncey, who was named to a second consecutive Pro Bowl appearance in January, would have entered the final year of his original five-year contract this upcoming season for a salary of $7.5 million.
According to @AdamSchefter, #Dolphins C Mike Pouncey's five-year extension is worth $52.15 million with $22 million guaranteed.

The deal makes Pouncey the highest paid center in the NFL and is reportedly worth $52.15 million with $22 million guaranteed, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
It also means the new deal would surpass the five-year, $44 million ($13 million guaranteed) contract his twin brother Maurkice signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers last year. Alex Mack signed with the Cleveland Browns for five years and $42 million ($26 million guaranteed) in 2014 as well.
Mike Pouncey returned from an initial four-game injury absence to begin the 2014 season as a starting guard to accommodate Samson Satele at center. He immediately reinforced an offensive line that protected quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who had a career year with 4,045 passing yards, and helped running back Lamar Miller rush for over 1,000 yards last season.
