Dez Bryant to Peyton Manning: 'True legend...well deserved'

Published Feb. 7, 2016 10:25 p.m. ET

It didn't take long for Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant to pay his respects to Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning on winning his second Super Bowl.

"Peyton manning I just wanted to say it was an honor to watch you play from the sideline," Bryant tweeted minutes before the final snap of Super Bowl 50. "True legend well deserved."

The Cowboys and Broncos last faced off in 2013, a game in which Manning led his Broncos to a 51-48 shootout win in Arlington.  Manning threw for 414 yards and four touchdowns in the win...and Bryant wasn't too bad either, pulling in 6 catches for 141 yards and two touchdowns.

The Cowboys also faced Manning during Bryant's rookie season in 2010 while Manning was still with the Indianapolis Colts.

Will Bryant and Manning take the field against each other again?  Manning was quick to dodge questions about his retirement shortly after the conclusion of Super Bowl 50, saying he would take some time before making his decision.

But in case they don't, Bryant made sure to make his respects known to one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
