Coach K gave LeBron some simple, yet good advice before decision
Perhaps you've heard that LeBron James has decided to return to his hometown and play for the Cleveland Cavs.
There have been a few mentions of LeBron's move since he made it official last Friday.
Now we've learned that James reached out to Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, who served as his coach in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, before making his decision to leave Miami.
Here's the simple advice Coach K gave LeBron via Zagsblog.com:
"I just told him, 'Do what you feel you need to do. You don't owe anybody, you owe yourself.' He didn't need any advice from me."
Very humble of Coach K. You have to think that his advice did a little to help LeBron feel even more comfortable about his decision.
Coach K is also pretty familiar with Cleveland's best player (before LeBron came back) Kyrie Irving, who played at Duke for a year before jumping to the NBA.
He thinks Irving has a great chance to develop even more with LeBron on the team:
"I hope that the main thing is he serves as an example of what a star player, what a great player does in order to develop his greatness and keep it going. For Kyrie to be around that on a day-to-day basis, really all the teammates, but especially Kyrie because he can be that level of player. He's very fortunate to have that."
