Charge high-flyer in D-League Dunk Contest
The Canton Charge's Kevin Olekaibe will be competing in the NBA D-League Dunk Contest this Sunday.
Olekaibe joins Thanasis Antetokounmpo (Westchester), Eric Griffin (Texas), Ra'Shad James (Reno), and Jarvis Threatt (Rio Grande Valley) in the five man dunk contest which will consist of two rounds.
In round one, each competitor will get the chance to complete two dunks with 45 seconds for each dunk. The Dunks will be judged by a panel of five judges with scores ranging between six and 10.
The five judges will be former D-League player and Oklahoma City guard Reggie Jackson, NBA Legends Muggsy Bogues and AC Green, and NBA Cares Ambassador Felipe Lopez. Also, one lucky fan who wins the NBA D-League Dream Factory Sweepstakes presented by Boost Mobile will also be a judge.
The top two dunkers from round one will move on to round two where they scoring and time limit will remain the same. After two dunks, whichever dunker has the top score will be named the 2015 Boost Mobile NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest champion.
The Boost Mobile NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest can be seen live on NBA TV during halftime of the NBA D-League All-Star Game.
