Cavaliers make history with largest halftime advantage ever in conference finals
Following two straight losses on the road in Toronto, it's safe to say LeBron James and company were ready for Game 5.
Behind a quick start from Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson, the Cavaliers came out of the gate swinging and set the tone of the game from the beginning. Their energy and physicality proved to be contagious, as the entire team got into a flow and fed off of Cleveland's bigs.
It was because of this that the Cavs were able to make NBA history.
With a 65-34 lead at half over the Raptors, the wine and gold set the record for the largest advantage ever (31) in the conference finals. It's the second time they've been up 30 or more in franchise playoff history.
The last time it happened was three weeks ago against the Hawks when they doubled up Atlanta 76-38 in the semifinals.
The previous record was 29 points, held by the Milwaukee Bucks when they led 60-31 over the Sixers on June 6, 2001.
