Catcher's throw hits batter while trying to throw out runner stealing

It is a play that happens regularly. A catcher makes a throw to third base with a right-handed batter in the box.

On Friday, however, the action took an unfortunate turn. Catcher Humberto Quintero of the Pawtucket Red Sox (Boston's Triple-A minor-league affiliate) tried to make the throw and this happened to Luke Maile of the Durham Rays (Tampa Bay's affiliate):
