Bucks bulk up with addition of Terrence Jones
The Milwaukee Bucks have added some muscle and contributing inside player for down the stretch.
On Saturday, the Bucks signed 6-foot-9, 255-pound power forward Terrence Jones to a contract for the remainder of the season.
Jones, 25, became a free agent after being waived by New Orleans shortly after the Pelicans acquired DeMarcus Cousins in a trade from Sacramento.
In 51 games with the Pelicans, Jones averaged 24.8 minutes, 11.5 points and 5.9 rebounds on 47.3 percent shooting. Jones signed with New Orleans after four seasons with Houston, which selected him in the first round (18th overall) of the 2012 draft. With the Rockets, Jones averaged 10.4 points and 5.8 rebounds.
Milwaukee lost power forward Jabari Parker for the season with a torn ACL and Michael Beasley is out for a few games -- to be re-evaluated later -- with a knee injury.
The Bucks released swingman Axel Toupane, who had been signed to a 10-day contract. He played in two games, appearing for a combined six minutes.
