Brewers release '14 schedule; host Braves March 31

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers will open the 2014 campaign with a three-game home series against the Atlanta Braves beginning on March 31, as Major League Baseball announced its 2014 schedule Tuesday.
The Brewers and the rest of the National League Central are paired with the American League East for interleague play. Milwaukee will jump into interleague play early in the season as it will head to Boston for a three-game series April 4-6.
Other interleague highlights include the New York Yankees (May 9-11) coming to Miller Park for the first time since 2005 and the Baltimore Orioles (May 26-28) coming to town for their first visit since 2008.
The Brewers will play interleague road series in Toronto (July 1-2) and Tampa Bay (July 28-30) for the first time since 2005, while the Blue Jays will also come to Milwaukee for a two-game series from Aug. 19-20.
Milwaukee's interleague series with the Minnesota Twins is again set up where all four games come in a row with two in each city. The Brewers will host the Twins on June 2-3 and then travel to Target Field to finish the series on June 4-5.
The longest homestand of the season for the Brewers will come Sept. 4-14 when they host St. Louis, Miami and Cincinnati. Milwaukee will have a 10-game road trip from May 16-25 with games in Chicago, Atlanta and Miami. From June 23-Jul 27, the Brewers play 21 of 29 games at home.
Two nine-game, 10-day trips come in August and September for the Brewers, as the first begins Aug. 25 and takes them out west to San Diego and San Francisco before finishing up in Chicago on Sept. 3.
The final road trip of the season features all divisional games beginning Sept. 16 in St. Louis and continues to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. Milwaukee ends the 2014 season with a three-game home series against the Cubs.
Milwaukee will again host two exhibition games at Miller Park prior to Opening Day, as the Kansas City Royals will come to town for a 7:10 p.m. game on March 28 and a 1:10 p.m. start on March 29.
Weekday night games at Miller Park will again start at 7:10 p.m. Day games during the week in April and May will start at 12:10 p.m. with the exception of Memorial Day. All Sunday and weekday games from June through September will start at 1:10 p.m. Most Saturday home games will start at 6:10 p.m.
