TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State running back Marion Grice will not play in next week's Pac-12 championship game, ASU coach Todd Graham said Saturday.

Following ASU's 58-21 win over Arizona, Graham said he does not expect to have Grice for the Sun Devils' rematch with Stanford but said the senior could be ready to play in a bowl game.

"It's probably a three-week deal," Graham said. "He'd probably be doubtful (against Stanford). I think I'm safe in saying that. Our deal is we want to go win this thing, and he'll be ready for the next one."

Grice suffered a left leg injury against UCLA last weekend, and his status remained a mystery throughout the week. Grice stood on crutches with a boot on his left leg as he and ASU's other seniors were honored before Saturday's game.

Sophomore D.J. Foster started in Grice's place and earned Territorial Cup MVP honors, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Even without Grice, who has 20 touchdowns on the season and leads the team in all-purpose yards, ASU amassed 478 yards of offense and set a record for points in the series between the rival teams.
