2016 D-backs got breakout seasons from Segura, Tomas

The 2016 season fell far short of expectations for the Arizona Diamondbacks, but it was not without its bright spots.

Alas, other than Robbie Ray's improvement, almost all of the highlights came on the offensive side.

Most notably was a breakout offensive season from Jean Segura, who became one of 12 offensive players in history to amass 200-plus hits, 20-plus home runs, 30-plus stolen bases and a .300-plus batting average -- a feat that ranks him among the likes of Alex Rodriguez, Vladimir Guerrero, Henry Aaron and Willie Mays.

Paul Goldschmidt was his usual stellar self, and Yasmany Tomas, Chris Owings and Jake Lamb all had seasons that exceeded expectations.
