Oilers' Aulie suspended 2 games for hit to head of Flames' Stajan

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Keith Aulie was suspended for two games without pay by the NHL on Thursday for an illegal check to the head of Calgary Flames forward Matt Stajan.

Aulie was assessed a match penalty in the first period of the Flames' 4-3 overtime victory Wednesday night in Calgary.

The suspension will cost Aulie $8,602.
