Granola bar cross-checks Alexandre Burrows; Canuck's front tooth gets chipped

Published Mar. 27, 2014 1:45 p.m. ET

You would think Alexandre Burrows would have his biting technique down by now.

The Vancouver Canucks right wing -- most famous around Boston for chomping down on Patrice Bergeron's finger during the 2011 Stanley Cup Final -- apparently still has some work to do in that department.

The Canucks' official Twitter account posted a photo early Thursday morning of Burrows with a chipped front tooth -- not an uncommon injury for hockey players. The chip wasn't the result of a stick, puck or fist to the face, though. Nope, the cause of Burrows' now-crooked smile was the dreaded granola bar.
