Russell Wilson is Now Catching Touchdowns Too (Video)
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is often said to be able to do it all, which now includes hauling in touchdown catches.
Russell Wilson has looked like a new man in recent weeks. After the Seattle Seahawks quarterback struggled mightily early in the season due to injuries, he’s hitting his stride. One week ago, Wilson torched the New England Patriots for three touchdown passes. Already having one score through the air in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles, he decided to mix it up.
Seattle was moving the ball at will against the Eagles early in the second half as Wilson led a drive into the red zone. Rather than looking receiver Doug Baldwin’s way within striking distance, Pete Carroll drew up a little role-reversal.
Wilson took the snap in the shotgun and pitched the ball to Baldwin coming on the reverse. After the pitch, the quarterback rolled out on a mesh route down the left sideline. He had plenty of room and Baldwin then dropped back and delivered a dime. Russell Wilson then hauled in the catch and found paydirt with a diving effort:
Baldwin to Wilson?

Yeah, that’s a great catch and play by Wilson to get the score—but how about we make Doug Baldwin the backup quarterback in Seattle. For his first career NFL pass, that was an absolute strike.
Following the made extra point (not a given in Week 11), the Seahawks moved ahead to take a commanding 23-7 lead in the third quarter at home. Moreover, now the Eagles are on their heels facing Wilson even more so. They already knew he could burn teams with his arm and his legs, but now he’s out here catching scores, too. Talk about a revolutionary.
