Future Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss isn’t someone that takes to the public without providing at least some divisiveness. Known for his enigmatic personality during his playing days, Moss didn’t necessarily make many friends within the media.

He is, however, well respected around NFL circles for what was one of the best careers for a receiver in NFL history.

Moss, who teamed up with Tom Brady for the New England Patriots’ record-breaking 2007 season, spoke out about his former quarterback and the entire Deflategate scandal at a press conference during his football camp this past weekend.

“I’ve always stood in Tom’s corner,” the former NFL wide receiver said, via the Fayetteville Observer. “I called myself a professional, but that man was definitely a letter grade above me.”

In 2010, Moss left the Patriots after three-plus seasons. There were reportedly some issues between him and the organization, but that obviously hasn’t clouded Moss’s judgement when it comes to a quarterback he shattered records with.

Continuing, Moss had this to say:

“Tom Brady is a pro’s pro. I love the man and everything he’s accomplished.”

Moss went on to show surprise that there would be so much ado around the NFL “over some air.”

The 38-year-old Moss is the latest in a long line of current and former players to come out in support of Brady as the quarterback prepares for a decision on his appeal of a four-game suspension the NFL levied against him.

It might not mean a whole bunch in the end, but at least Brady knows another one of his former colleagues supports him throughout the process.
