Cleveland Browns

0-9

Last week: L, 35-10, vs. DALLast rank: 32nd

The Browns are terrible, and they continue to get trounced without much problem.31

San Francisco 49ers

1-7

Last week: L, 41-23, vs. NOLast rank: 31st

The 49ers are atrocious and it could be another one-and-done for the head coach.30

Jacksonville Jaguars

2-6

Last week: L, 19-14, at KCLast rank: 30th

How do you lose when the other team is 1-of-14 on third down, and is playing without all of its stars?29

Chicago Bears

2-6

Last week: BYELast rank: 29th

Coming out of the bye week, the Bears have a shot to get another win at Tampa.28

Los Angeles Rams

3-5

Last week: L, 13-10, vs. CARLast rank: 28th

After starting 3-1, the Rams have become the team we thought they were. Right around 7-9.27

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

3-5

Last week: L, 43-21, vs. ATLLast rank: 26th

The Buccaneers are horrendous defensively, and Jameis Winston isn’t doing enough to compensate.26

New York Jets

3-6

Last week: L, 27-23, at MIALast rank: 23rd

Ryan Fitzpatrick is a total mess and he’s still starting. Tells us all we need to know about Geno Smith.25

Tennessee Titans

4-5

Last week: L, 43-35, at SDLast rank: 22nd

The Titans had a shot to win on Sunday but couldn’t get the stops. Big test this week against the Packers.24

Buffalo Bills

4-5

Last week: L, 31-25, at SEALast rank: 21st

Buffalo gave a great effort in Seattle, but the officials wouldn’t be denied.23

Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis got a huge win in Lambeau, and now has a chance to compete in the woeful AFC South.22

Baltimore Ravens

4-4

Last week: W, 21-14, vs. PITLast rank: 25th

After starting out well, the Ravens really have fallen apart. Can they save their season against the Steelers.21

Carolina Panthers

3-5

Last week: W, 13-10, at LALast rank: 24th

Don’t look now, but the Panthers are starting to climb up the standings.20

Arizona Cardinals

3-4-1

Last week: BYELast rank: 19th

If the Cardinals are ever going to turn their season around, it’s at home against San Francisco.19

Philadelphia Eagles

4-4

Last week: L, 28-23, at NYGLast rank: 11th

The Eagles are being exposed as a faux contender. Carson Wentz is regressing, and the rest of the offense is average.18

Miami Dolphins

4-4

Last week: W, 27-23, vs. NYJLast rank: 20th

The Dolphins are back from the dead and beginning to play like a dangerous team.17

Cincinnati Bengals

Last week: BYELast rank: 15th

The AFC North is there for the taking. Can Cincinnati get rolling after a tough first half?16

Washington Redskins

Washington needs to come out of the bye week on all cylinders, playing a desperate Vikings team at home.15

San Diego Chargers

4-5

Last week: W, 43-35, vs. TENLast rank: 18th

San Diego continues to stay on the edge of the playoff picture. Give Philip Rivers a ton of credit.14

Green Bay Packers

4-4

Last week: L, 31-26, vs. INDLast rank: 9th

We’ve reached the point of crisis in Green Bay. The Packers are not a good team until proven otherwise.13

Pittsburgh Steelers

4-4

Last week: L, 21-14, at BALLast rank: 10th

Ben Roethlisberger looked like he was still injured, and the Steelers look hapless at the moment.12

The Saints are marching into the playoff picture with another convincing win. Next up? Denver, at the Superdome.11

Minnesota is falling off the face of the earth without Teddy Bridgewater, Adrian Peterson or an offensive line.10

Detroit Lions

Detroit pulled a win out of the fire against Minnesota. The Lions might be the best team in the NFC North.9

Houston Texans

The Texans are in a position to challenge for a division title, but they need to keep winning with the Colts close behind.8

New York keeps you guessing as to how good it really is, but the record speaks for itself.7

The Broncos are starting to show some cracks. You can run on them all day, and losing Derek Wolfe is a huge deal.6

A much-needed win for the Seahawks on Monday night sets them up nicely before a huge showdown in New England.5

The Falcons are back on track after a couple of NFC wins. They are clearly a contender for a playoff bye.4

Oakland Raiders

7-2

Last week: W, 30-20, vs. DENLast rank: 5th

On Sunday night, the Raiders arrived. Oakland still has to win a great division, but it has a real shot.3

Kansas City Chiefs

6-2

Last week: W, 19-14, vs. JAXLast rank: 4th

Kansas City played without Spencer Ware, Justin Houston, Jeremy Maclin, Alex Smith, Jamaal Charles and saw Travis Kelce get ejected. It still won.2

Last week: L, 35-10, at CLELast rank: 2nd

Dallas is the best team in the NFC, hands down.1

New England Patriots

7-1

Until somebody beats a full-strength Patriots team, it’s impossible to move them from this spot.
