Jaguars continue to revamp defense, take Day in 4th round
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) The Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Notre Dame defensive tackle Sheldon Day in the fourth round of the NFL draft.
The Jaguars chose Day with the 103rd overall pick, continuing to add players on the defensive side of the ball.
The 6-foot-2, 285-pound Day started 32 of 48 games in four years in South Bend, finishing with 91 tackles, 32 tackles for loss and seven sacks. He joins cornerback Jalen Ramsey (first round), linebacker Myles Jack (second) and defensive end Yannick Ngakoue (third) in the team's draft class.
Jacksonville believes Day can be a disruptive 3-technique, meaning he will play behind Malik Jackson and Sen'Derrick Marks.
The Jaguars still have three picks remaining on the final day and need help along the offensive line. They need a guard or center and maybe even an offensive tackle.
