Nix, 25, joined the Raiders as an undrafted rookie out of Pittsburgh in 2012. He played in 14 games last season and started 10 of them, according to Pro-Football-Reference.com. With the Bears, Nix will compete for a roster spot backing up starting guards Kyle Long and Matt Slauson.

To make room for Nix on the 90-man roster, the Bears waived offensive lineman Jason Weaver, a former undrafted rookie who did not appear in a single game last season.
