Aaron Rodgers may break one of Johnny Unitas' records this Sunday

There was a time when Johnny Unitas dominated the NFL record book. But many of the passing records once belonging to the legendary Baltimore Colts quarterback have been broken in the four decades since his retirement; it looks like another one will fall this weekend.

With a solid outing against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers can break Unitas' record and become the fastest quarterback in NFL history to throw for 30,000 yards, according to Director of NFC Football Communications Randall Liu.

Rodgers must accrue the final 186 yards within his next 67 pass attempts in order to break the record. Since he is averaging 247.2 yards and 30.6 pass attempts per game this season, there's a good chance Rodgers breaks the record on Sunday against the Chargers.

The Packers' All-Pro passer already owns the NFL's all-time best regular-season rating (106.4). His touchdown-to-interception ratio is also tops in league history (4.05). If Rodgers breaks Unitas' record this weekend, it'll be just one of many that appear to have him destined for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
