49ers owner York blistered on Twitter following offer of free tickets
San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York doesn't need to do much to inflame the passions of an already-disgruntled fan base.
I have a few tickets left for the game Sun. Let me know if you can make it #FaithfulFanTix

York put a post on Twitter late Friday night, offering free tickets to Sunday's afternoon's game against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
While a few fans were naturally eager to gobble up the freebies, the overall responses York received for the gesture were, shall we say, less than charitable.
@JedYork no one cares since you dismantled the team and coaching staff. Keep losing with class!! #49ers

@JedYork I can't give my tickets away, either Jed.

@JedYork you have no clue what you're doing (I'm sure this is the nicest thing you've been told so I should get the tix)

York drew the ire of 49ers fans for the decision to part ways with popular coach Jim Harbaugh following last season. Harbaugh resurrected the franchise upon his arrival in 2011, leading the team to three NFC title games and a Super Bowl in his first three seasons.
@JedYork I'll pass on the tickets. you gave us something already. #GOBLUE pic.twitter.com/e8bYku1b0r

One University Michigan fan weighed in on York's offer of the free ducats, passing on the offer but thanking him for allowing Harbaugh to return to coach at his alma mater.
For what it's worth, York's woes were exacerbated when the 49ers dropped a 17-3 decision to the Packers to run their losing streak to three games.
Pointless but 49ers fans start petition urging @JedYork to sell team https://t.co/uTykRSgcYr h/t @rajmathai
— Mike Rosenberg (@RosenbergMerc) October 6, 2015
It also prompted one follower to start a petition -- Change.org -- to get ownership to sell the team because "this family is no longer competent to run this organization."
