WATCH: Raptors' DeRozan throws down the (early) NBA dunk of the year
The Utah Jazz are fortunate to have one of the best young big men in the NBA. Rudy Gobert is a defensive force of nature.
For better or for worse, Gobert is also not shy about trying to block massive slam dunks. It's just part of the job, even if it means you end up on your fair share of Vines. Like on Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors, for example, when DeMar DeRozan reached all the way back, absorbed Gobert's verticality, and finished with authority:
It's a good read by the Jazz big man. He gets over into decent help position and goes straight up, more or less. But DeRozan's athleticism wins the day. The Jazz, however, got the last laugh, defeating the Raptors 93-89.
Great win tonight. Way to grind and get stops down the stretch. Except one...? #thatboyusedthatcallofdutydoublejump

Sure, we're not even a month into 2015-16. There's no question, however, that we officially have a candidate for dunk of the year.
