Toronto's DeMar DeRozan named Eastern Conference Player of the Week
Raptors' guard DeMar DeRozan earned a nod for Eastern Conference Player of the Week after an impressive stretch for Toronto.
DeRozan averaged 24.0 points per game, 5.0 rebounds per game and 3.8 assists per game during the hot streak from December 7-13. This is the first time in his seven-year career that DeRozan took home the award. He's the seventh player in team history (Vince Carter, Chris Bosh, Kyle Lowry, Jalen Rose, Mike James and Lou Williams) to earn the recognition.
DeRozan shot 31-for-60 from the field and led Toronto in scoring for three of the team's four victories last week. He averages 21.8 points per game (11th in NBA) this season.
