This stat shows how truly valuable Chris Bosh is to the Heat

Chris Bosh always seems to be at the wrong end of getting flack, but does he actually deserve it? Bosh has been one of the NBA's best big men for years, heralded in some circles for all the little things he does and denounced in others because they can't actually see the little things.

Let's not ignore the big things, either: The points, rebounds, threes, everything. You could make an argument Bosh has been easily the most valuable member of the Heat this season, and it would all start with one stat provided to us via Ethan Skolnick of the Miami Herald:

The Heat are actually 9.7 point per 100 possessions better with Bosh on the floor than with him off it, outscoring opponents by almost five points per 100 when he plays. That's pretty comfortably the best on the team, and it puts someone like Hassan Whiteside, a player who many would argue is Miami's most important player, even more in perspective.

Miami is actually 4.1 points per 100 possessions worse with Whiteside on the floor, mostly because of all the block-happy plays he makes that lead to easy baskets for the opponent. In related news, Dwyane Wade has a negative net rating, as well.
