The Pelicans are happy to be headed home

New Orleans didn't have much fun opening up its first playoff run in four years inside Oracle Arena, one of the loudest gyms in the country.

But they'll have a chance to bounce back in Games 3 and 4 back at home, in the comfortable and familiar confines of the Smoothie King Center.

Several Pelicans can't wait to get back. “I’m looking forward to being in my own bed, getting some rest and getting out of California, even though I love it,” Quincy Pondexter said. “I’m looking forward to seeing our fans and seeing that packed arena (for Games 3 and 4).”

"Hopefully for the fans watching (Game 2), our crowd can be like (this),” Tyreke Evans echoed. “When we’ve got our crowd behind us, we’re going to perform, play hard and do a good job.”

It's debatable whether the crowd in New Orleans can match what everyone heard in Golden State. But trying won't hurt.
