PHOENIX (AP) The Phoenix Suns signed free-agent guard Bryce Cotton out of the NBA Development League on Wednesday.

The Suns announced the signing prior to their game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The 6-foot-1 Cotton is a Providence product and had averaged 22 points per game in four contests with the Austin Spurs this year. The Tucson native played in 15 games for the Utah Jazz as an un-drafted rookie last season and scored double digits in his last four.

Cotton's addition puts the Suns roster at 15 players. He was inactive for the Suns' game Wednesday.
