Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Indiana Pacers forward Paul George were today named the Kia Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Month, respectively, for NBA games played in October and November.

Curry led the red-hot Warriors to a record-setting 19-0, the best start to a season in NBA history. Curry ranked first in the NBA in scoring (31.6 points per game) and three-pointers made (94 -- 42 more than any other player). The reigning MVP's efficiency is what truly makes his historical play stand out, as he joined the 50-40-90 club in the season's first month, shooting 51.2 percent from the field, 44.5 percent on three-pointers and 94.1 percent from the free-throw line. In addition, Curry led the league with five 40-point games.

George, meanwhile, quickly returned to his All-NBA form from a couple years ago, averaging 27.2 points per game (first in the East and fourth in the league overall) and leading the Pacers to an 11-5 record (winning 11 of 13 after starting 0-3). Additionally, George averaged 8.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals, and his 51 three-pointers made placed him tied for third in the NBA and second in the East. He closed November out with a streak of 12 straight 20-point games, the longest streak of his career.
