Phil Jackson congratulated the Warriors and Knicks fans freaked out

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson was the head coach of the Chicago Bulls back in 1995-96 when the team set the NBA record for most wins in a season (72) . The Golden State Warriors tied that record Sunday night, and Jackson showed he would not mind if the Warriors broke his former team's record when he sent the Warriors a congratulatory tweet Monday.
But Jackson's well wishes for the Warriors did not go over well with Knicks fans on Twitter. New York has a 32-49 record and sits in third-to-last in the Eastern Conference. Fans are not pleased with their team president's interest in other teams while the Knicks continue to struggle, and they used Jackson's tweet Monday as an opportunity to air some of their grievances with Jackson.
Some Knicks fans are convinced Jackson is not keeping up with his team.
@PhilJackson11 you pissin me off these days. Stop talking about other teams achievements while the Knicks are so Abysmal.

@PhilJackson11 did you even watch the Knicks game last night??!embarrassing as usual that team can't get 72 or 73 wins in a 3 season period

@PhilJackson11 get off Twitter and do your job!! Still waiting for a playoff since you've got here. !!!

Others used the opportunity to campaign for Jackson to get rid of interim head coach Kurt Rambis.
@PhilJackson11 if you leave Rambis on a bench, the Knicks will have 73 losses in next season...

@PhilJackson11 they won more games this season than Rambis did in his career. Please consider other coaching candidates.

@PhilJackson11 pleas be reasonable and do not hire Rambis full time as HC. he has like a .33 career winning percentage. don't do this.

But some apparently have had enough of Jackson.
@PhilJackson11 Get the hell out of NY

@PhilJackson11 not as impressive as 32 for the Knicks. What an impressive waste of money you are.

The Warriors have a chance to beat the Bulls' record Wednesday if Golden State can top the Memphis Grizzlies in the regular season finale Wednesday.
