Nick Young reveals the secret to beating Golden State: Kanye West
Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young is either a genius or ... a genius. A couple days before he helped L.A. beat the Golden State Warriors on Sunday afternoon -- possibly the biggest upset in NBA regular-season history -- Young shrewdly explained how his last-place team could take down one of the best squads ever:
Sure! Young should love Kanye's "Facts," being that he gets shouted out on the song. Earlier this season, he also credited it for helping L.A. go on a two-game winning streak shortly after its initial New Year's Eve release:
Of course, throwing T.L.O.P. on a pair of headphones (followed by a throwback jam from Weezy, B.G. and Juvenile) probably isn't enough to take down the Warriors, who entered the game with only five losses all year.
Young actually had to do stuff on the court, and, well, he wound up making more threes in the fourth quarter than Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined for in the entire game:
Nothing about that entire afternoon made much sense, which is precisely why Young dominated it.
