NBA rules officials made right call on controversial Kyle Lowry foul

The magical run to start 2015-16 by the Golden State Warriors nearly came to an end on Tuesday night against the Toronto Raptors. Stephen Curry & Co. escaped with a win in the end, but the victory wasn't without controversy.

On what otherwise might have been the final possession of the game, the Raptors had the ball with just over 24 seconds remaining and trailing by one point. As the shot and game clocks wound down, Toronto executed its play, only for Kyle Lowry to be whistled for an offensive foul while setting a screen on Andre Iguodala with 12.6 seconds remaining.

Many fans questioned the call, but according to the NBA's Last Two Minute Report for the game, the call was correct. In fact, the only incorrect call in the final two minutes came just a few seconds earlier, when Lowry should have been whistled for an offensive foul even sooner.

It might not make Raptors fans happy, but that's the final word from the league office. Now, about that weird Cory Joseph offensive foul ...
