LeBron James flushes awful J.R. Smith alley-oop with left hand, is a freak of nature
From a strictly physical standpoint, LeBron James should be washed by now.
The man is 31 years old. He's played 37,991 minutes of NBA basketball over the last 13 years. His knees should be the shape and consistency of baked potatoes at this point.
Physics, natural law and the cruel math of time state that there is no reason this man should be able to jump from outside the restricted area, catch a ball off the top of the glass and flush it home off-hand.
Yet here we are.
That's J.R. Smith throwing a decidely not-good alley-oop to his teammate in the second quarter of Thursday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Smith banked the ball hard and high off the left side of the backboard. Trailing behind on Smith's right, James would've done well just to catch the ball, come down and go back up. Instead, James just went lefty and threw that 'ish down sans issue.
A look on the NBA phantom cam:
What even is this guy?
Dan is on Twitter. He can barely button sleeve cuffs with his left hand.
