Lakers' Kobe Bryant, D'Angelo Russell questionable vs. Thunder

Published Jan. 8, 2016 5:59 p.m. ET

After returning to face the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant (sore right shoulder) and rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell (sprained right ankle) are listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News:

Bryant scored 28 points (10-of-18 shooting) in 31 minutes during the Lakers' 118-115 loss, while Russell scored 27 points (11-of-16 shooting) in 29 minutes off the bench, helping lead the team's late rally that came up just short.

Russell sprained his ankle at the 2:37 mark of the fourth quarter, according to ESPN.com. Bryant had missed the previous three games before Thursday's contest.

If Bryant misses tonight's game, which would be eighth DNP of the season, Anthony Brown will likely start, getting the wonderful assignment of defending Thunder star Kevin Durant.
