Kobe Bryant went full Magic Johnson against the Rockets

Published Jan. 18, 2016 1:02 p.m. ET

Kobe Bryant was in a very giving mood Sunday night.

The Black Mamba played only 24 minutes against the Houston Rockets but managed to squeeze in nine assists, including a number of sick passes.

There was the no-look variety.

The switching-hands-in-mid-air move.

And then the hitting-the-cutter-on-the-baseline dime.

That last one moved Kobe passed Jerry West (6,238) and into second on the Lakers' all-time assists list. He still trails Magic Johnson, who had 10,141 during his illustrious career.
