Incredible troll job: Hornets honoring Curry when Warriors are in town

Stephen Curry spent a major chunk of his life in North Carolina. He went to college at Davidson, and grew up in Charlotte when his father, Dell, played for the Hornets. 

The elder Curry is a major part of the franchise's history and currently serves as a color analyst on their television broadcasts. He's also the "Hornets Ambassador" and "Special Project Advisor." It's unclear what that means, but all you need to know is that Curry is basically their mascot.

That connection brews a single drop of hope that the reigning MVP will consider a return home when he becomes an unrestricted free agent two summers from now. Charlotte is not deaf to this possibility, and it's surely no coincidence that they've decided to honor his father while Curry is in town.
