Hornets saved by unlikely hero and his game-winning touch

Up until Monday night, Troy Daniels' most notable NBA moment came in the playoffs two years ago: a buzzer-beating three that lifted the Houston Rockets over the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 3 of their first-round battle. It was a fairytale moment for the D-League call-up, and figured to be the peak of his basketball life.

Then Monday night happened, and Daniels did it again (plus seven more times):

Look how far behind the line he was for the game-winner! Incredible. Daniels is now shooting an obscene 52.4 percent from behind the three-point line. He better keep it up, because there's not much else he can provide.

The 24-year-old is a wretched defender who doesn't drive or pass. It's all about the three-ball, and so long as he continues to hit shots like this...

...there will be a place for him in the NBA.
