Hawks official Twitter account trolls a fan looking for a date
The Hawks are known for an impressive social media presence filled with photos and videos as well as witty, digital-friendly content.
In fact, the Sports Illustrated "Twitter 100" list (which ranks the top 100 must-follow sports accounts on Twitter) recently included Atlanta as the No. 1 overall NBA account. Basketball fans have noticed the playful, interactive voice that manages the official Hawks feed. One fan even asked Atlanta's social media coordinator, if she was a girl, on a date.
Less than ten minutes later, the Hawks tweeted a response that trolled his attempt -- suggesting he "swipe left" instead. This promoted over 400 retweets, 600 "likes" and endless replies calling foul on the initial attempt at flirtation.
If the @ATLHawks social media coordinator is a girl, someone tell her to hit my line
