At age 13, Magic's Fournier met Spurs' Diaw and predicted NBA future
Tonight, the Spurs (39-8) host the Magic (21-25) at AT&T Center. Orlando's Evan Fournier is particularly excited to face San Antonio's Boris Diaw.
Fournier, who has played with his countryman Diaw on the French national basketball team, had a chance to play against the NBA veteran ten years ago. Diaw was 23; Fournier was 13. The video was part of a 76-minute documentary ("EVAN, le rêve américain" or "Evan: The American Dream") which chronicled Fournier's road to the NBA.

"Met Boris Diaw when I was 13. He was already in the NBA," tweeted Fournier, the morning his team was scheduled against Diaw's Spurs. "Told him I'll play against him one day. Follow your dreams."
Fournier is enjoying a strong season for Orlando. He's averaging 13.8 points per game with 2.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.0 three's per game.
