Ty Dillon to sub for Tony Stewart in No. 14 car at Atlanta

As first reported by FOXSports.com on Feb. 11, Ty Dillon will run several races in the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet this season. And the first of those comes this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where Dillon will be behind the wheel for the QuickTrip Folds of Honor 500.
FOX Sports reporter Alan Cavanna confirmed Tuesday with both Stewart-Haas and Richard Childress Racing that Dillon will drive the No. 14 this weekend at the 1.54-mile Atlanta track.
Brian Vickers drove the No. 14 during Daytona Speedweeks, where he finished 26th in Sunday’s Daytona 500. And he will be back in the car for Las Vegas, the weekend after Atlanta. Later races are TBD, Stewart-Haas Officials said.
Stewart is out indefinitely after he suffered a burst fracture of the L1 vertebra on Jan. 31 when the sand rail he was driving in the Glamis Dunes near the California-Arizona border landed wrong, compressing its shock absorbers.
Last week, Stewart underwent surgery and there is no timetable for his return, but SHR officials said he is expected to make a full recovery and return to action later this year.
