Ty Dillon carrying Death Wish at Dover

Walk through the garage at Dover International Speedway  and there is one car that is clearly the most sinister of the 40 competing in the Citizen Soldier 400: It’s Ty Dillon’s No. 95 Chevrolet, which carries flat black paint and a huge skull and crossbones on both  the hood and each of the two rear quarter panels.

The evil look is thanks to Dillon’s sponsor for this week, Death Wish Coffee, which bills itself as the “world’s strongest coffee.”

No, we aren’t exactly Consumer Reports here, so we can’t speak to the validity of Death Wish Coffee’s claim.

That said, with a name like that, we’d imagine the stuff packs quite a kick, which is a good thing for hard-working crew guys who could benefit from a quick pick-me-up on race weekends.

And given all the late nights and early mornings we spend at racetracks — and the basic proclivity of journalists to be addicted to caffeine — a little Death Wish in the track’s Media Center might be a very good thing indeed.
