SR2 Motorsports re-signs Ryan Ellis for partial Nationwide schedule

Ryan Ellis, who drove in five NASCAR Nationwide Series races for SR2 Motorsports last season, has re-signed for a partial NNS schedule for 2014, the team announced on Thursday.
Ellis, 24, had a best finish of 31st in the fall Richmond race last season. A team release said Ellis will be back in the car for this weekend's Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, adding "the full extent of Ellis' program will depend on their ongoing sponsorship searches, but plans are in place for a number of 2014 races."
At Las Vegas, Ellis will drive the team's No. 24 Toyota Camry and will be sponsored at Superlite Cars, a Michigan-based manufacturer of exotic street and race cars.
"I'm happy to be back racing with SR2 and Toyota this year," said Ellis in a team release. "It's really what I had hoped for all last offseason. Jason (Sciavicco, team owner) is a great guy and I am truly honored that he has brought me back and into this expanded role on his team."
Ellis is also slated to appear in at least three more NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races this year with Jim Rosenblum's FDNY No. 28 Chevy Silverado, which Ellis piloted to an 18th-place finish in the season-opening event at Daytona.
