Reed Sorenson, bounced from the Turner Motorsports team earlier this week despite sitting third in the Nationwide Series standings, landed a last-minute ride on Friday for the upcoming race at Kansas Speedway.

Sorenson will run Saturday's Kansas Lottery 300 in MacDonald Motorsports' No. 82 Dodge, joining Rookie of the Year contender Blake Koch on the MacDonald roster.

The addition was confirmed just 90 minutes before Nationwide practice began.

Sorenson, who has one win this season and trails leader Ricky Stenhouse Jr. by 49 points with five races to go, was replaced by Brian Vickers in Turner Motorsports' No. 32 Chevrolet.
