The Sprint Cup Series cars took to the track Friday for one practice session on the high-banked, high-speed Atlanta Motor Speedway. Throughout the 1-hour, 25-minute session, drivers worked on a mix of qualifying runs and getting their cars set up for Sunday's Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

When the session ended, sophomore driver Kyle Larson led the charge with a lap of 28.727 seconds at 192.989 mph. Defending Sprint Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick was second in his No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet.

Georgia native David Ragan was third fastest in the session, piloting the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota for the injured Kyle Busch.

The Chevrolets and Toyotas dominated the session, with only three Fords finishing the session in the top 20. Daytona 500 champion Joey Logano led the Blue Oval charge in fourth, followed by teammate Brad Keselowski in eighth, and Roush Fenway Racing's Greg Biffle in 19th.

JTG Daugherty Racing's AJ Allmendinger ran the most laps of the session (22) and was 25th fastest.

This was the lone practice session of the day for the Sprint Cup cars, as the starting lineup will be set Friday night during knockout qualifying (5:30 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1).
