
Final practice results for FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks
As if he hadn't already done enough to establish himself as the clear favorite heading into Sunday's FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks, Denny Hamlin again was fastest in Saturday's final practice at Dover International Speedway.
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver won the pole for the race in Friday qualifying, then also was fastest in Saturday's first practice.
Hamlin turned his fastest lap in Happy Hour in 23.064 seconds, or 156.087 miles per hour. He was followed on atop the speed chart by his JGR teamma, Carl Edwards, whose fastest circuit was registered in 23.136 seconds (155.602 mph). Paul Menard of Richard Childress Racing was third-fastest (23.195, 155.206 mph).
Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch were next, giving JGR four of the five fastest cars in the final practice.
Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Jamie McMurray, Jeff Gordon and Kurt Busch rounded out the top 10.
