Erik Jones to drive No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota beginning at Kansas

The worst-kept secret in NASCAR is finally official: Erik Jones will take over as substitute driver of the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota beginning with next weekend's Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway.
JGR officials made the announcement on Thursday morning. Jones, a full-time Camping World Truck Series driver for Kyle Busch Motorsports and part-time XFINITY Series driver for JGR, replaces David Ragan in the No. 18 and is expected to be in the car until Kyle Busch returns from injuries later in the year.
"I'm also excited about representing M&M'S, a great longtime partner at JGR and such a well-known brand. I am looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the M&M'S Toyota at Kansas."
Jones' No. 18 Toyota will carry a special paint scheme at Kansas highlighting M&M'S support of Red Nose Day, a major charitable event that will be held on May 21.
