Busch to drive three Nationwide races

Published Jan. 11, 2013 12:00 a.m. ET

Kurt Busch and team owner James Finch are rejoining forces for the three Nationwide Series restrictor-plate races in 2013.

Busch told FOXSports.com on Friday he expects the effort with Phoenix Racing to be "a winning combination."

Busch competed for Finch in 30 Sprint Cup races in 2012. Their first win together, however, came at the Daytona Nationwide Series race in July.

"He did a really good job for us on the plate races, said team owner James Finch. "We have a shot at winning all three."

The team announced on Tuesday that Guy Roofing will sponsor the first NNS race on Feb. 23 at Daytona. Finch is optimistic that the relationship could blossom with additional support.

Busch currently competes full-time in the Sprint Cup Series for Furniture Row Racing.
