Mets' Michael Cuddyer making Citi Field his new home

In the past few seasons, New York Mets left fielder Michael Cuddyer has hit significantly better at home, which is now carrying over to his new home, Citi Field.

Cuddyer, who is in his first season in the Mets' outfield, highlighted his homebody tendencies with a recent three-game homestretch against the Phillies in which he bashed a pair of homers and knocked five hits in 10 at-bats.

"I like hitting at home, no matter where home is," Cuddyer said, per the New York Post. "You're used to the background, you're used to the surroundings, the confines, you're used to everything."

Now with his third team after a long tenure with the Minnesota Twins followed by a three-year stint with the Colorado Rockies, Cuddyer has made himself at home at his home field once again.

In 25 games at Citi Field this season, the veteran outfielder has hit .322/.416/.494 with three home runs and 15 runs batted in.

Conversely, he's batting .195/.225/.286 with two homers and seven runs batted in in 20 away games.

"The more you play somewhere, the better off you are and if you look at my track record I have always hit better at home — no matter what my home was," Cuddyer said.
