Every Monday, D.J. Foster will highlight 10 waiver wire adds for your fantasy basketball team. Here are the selections for the week of February 15:
Fantasy Basketball Top 10 Waiver Adds (February 15) | |||
Player | Position | Games | Note |
Dennis Schroder | PG | 2 | It seems highly unlikely that Jeff Teague remains the starter past the trade deadline. Schroder is in line to see major minutes and huge stat bumps. |
Jeremy Lamb | SG/SF | 2 | With Michael Kidd-Gilchrist likely out for the season, playing time has opened up for Lamb once again. |
E'Twaun Moore | PG/SG | 3 | The Bulls would be wise to play it safe with Jimmy Butler's knee, which means Moore should continue to play big minutes and put up nice PTS-REB-AST numbers. |
Jerryd Bayless | PG/SG | 2 | Michael Carter-Williams is another popular trade candidate, but Bayless is already playing substantial minutes anyway. The Bucks need three-point shooting, and Bayless offers that. |
Jared Dudley | SF/PF | 3 | If he ends up in Cleveland like the rumors are saying? Watch out. Dudley won't offer much beyond threes, but he's one of the best shooters in basketball. |
Danny Green | SG/SF | 3 | He's finally rebounded from a disastrous start, and it seems like his rhythm is back. After scoring in double-figures in four of his last five, you can safely add him. |
Jerami Grant | SF/PF | 2 | Nerlens Noel should be back soon, but Grant has been awesome in the meantime. He's a sneaky source of rebounds and blocked shots, but he'll need more minutes. |
Taj Gibson | PF | 3 | The Bulls play three games this week, and Nikola Mirotic is still sidelined. As we've seen in the past, Gibson can put up solid numbers when he gets the time. |
Archie Goodwin | PG/SG | 2 | It wouldn't be a surprise if Brandon Knight is shut down for the rest of the year, which would give Goodwin control of the entire offense. |
Kelly Olynyk | PF | 2 | If the he lands in Atlanta or Houston via a big trade, he could be a fantasy monster. He's still a great speculative add. |
I'm really excited about Schroder's potential, and he's available in the large majority of leagues. He's my highest upside free agent pickup this week. Moore can help you right away with Butler out, and the three games this provides even more incentive. Archie Goodwin is probably the best pickup for the rest of the way, as he should play a substantial role in Phoenix's option even if Knight returns.
