USC's JuJu Smith-Schuster was nearly a Duck

USC star wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster almost was never a Trojan. In fact, a couple of days before signing day in 2014, Smith-Schuster thought he was on his way to Eugene to play for Oregon.

According to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, Smith-Schuster told his parents that he wanted to go play for Oregon just a few days before national signing day in 2014. Then, as signing day neared, Smith-Schuster reversed field and announced he would attend USC.

Smith-Schuster was a safety and receiver at Long Beach Poly High when he visited Oregon on a recruiting trip.

"All those [defensive backs] I saw there, I'm going against them this Saturday," he said, per the Los Angeles Times, "so it will be a lot of fun to play against them."

Smith-Schuster is now USC's most explosive receiver and has caught 63 passes for 1,160 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.
