PHOTO: Georgia AD taking some heat from local fans


The natives appear to be getting restless in Athens, as Georgia appears to have switched out 15-year veteran head coach Mark Richt for career Alabama assistant Kirby Smart.
The move to remove Richt as head coach was made official Sunday, when athletic director Greg McGarity determined the school needed to make a change. Georgia's AD would not publicly reveal the details behind his decision during Monday's press conference.
“That remains to be between Mark and myself," McGarity said Monday. "We had a good, mature, adult conversation on Sunday morning, an hour, hour-and-a-half or so. Those things will remain between Mark and myself.”
Judging by a local Athens bar's sign, the decision is being viewed as a cold one:
