Five-star QB prospect Jacob Eason reaffirms commitment to Georgia

Jacob Eason, the nation's No. 2 quarterback prospect according to Scout.com, announced Tuesday he would stick with his original commitment and play for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Following Mark Richt's replacement as head coach at Georgia, SEC East rival Florida, as well as Miami and Washington, has heavily recruited Eason in an attempt to flip his commitment. The Lake Stevens, Wash., native recently took an official visit to Gainesville that vaulted Florida into his final two.

Losing Eason would have been a tough blow for Bulldog fans, as several prospects have decommitted from Georgia following Richt's departure as head coach, but none is regarded as highly as Eason.
Eason was named the Gatorade national player of the year on Tuesday. He is expected to enroll at Georgia on Jan. 11 and immediately compete for the starting job in spring practice.
The 6-foot-6 Eason is Georgia's top quarterback recruit since Matthew Stafford.
