Series record: 20-9 Florida State

Clemson must win this game to get into the College Football Playoff. That is the flat out reality of this game. If the Tigers show up and play the way they are capable of playing they will win. Florida State is not what they were defensively and Clemson has the clear advantage on both lines of scrimmage.

Here’s my game predictions:

Player of the game: Deshuan Watson.

I expect Watson to be dialed in against the Noles. Jeff Scott and Tony Elliot have had two weeks to game plan for FSU. They will give Deshuan Watson ample opportunities to gash the Seminoles.

    X-Factor: Deon Cain

With so much attention being given to Jordan Leggett and Mike Williams, I like the one on one match ups that will be afforded to Deon Cain. He is the best blend of size and speed that Clemson’s receiving core has. Just look at his impact on the Louisville game. Cain is a WR1 talent that often finds himself lined up against opposing teams CB2 or nickle in the slot.

    Score prediction: 34-21
